Work with me
My name is Marta Correale. Born and raised in Rome, I graduated in classics at the Sapienza University of Rome and subsequently did an MA in development, with a special attention to development education and cultural relations.
I have worked in Italy, Brussels and Dublin, always in the field of intercultural relations and cultural tourism prior to founding Learning Escapes in 2015: partnering with me means working with an experienced professional with a track record of consistent and successful work experience.
I am passionate about travel and education and I take great pride in always delivering on time, high-quality pieces of content. You can find my professional CV on LinkedIn here.
What makes us different?
We are a family of four and have what people may call a traditional set up: my husband has a 9 to 5 job, my websites are my full time occupation and we travel whenever work and school allows.
Many families relate to our kind of travel and find ideas they can then apply to their own holiday plans. We are passionate about affordable luxury (great experiences that feel amazing but don’t break the bank) but we also like to splash out every now and then: this makes us able to communicate with readers with different budgets and backgrounds.
We are a resource for families who love independent travel and we cover all aspects of travel planning from suggesting family friendly destinations and itineraries to recommending accommodation, attractions and gear.
Our expertise lies mostly in European travel, with a specific although not exclusive focus on city breaks with children.
Who reads Learning Escapes?
We have a loyal audience of followers from all over the world, predominantly from the US, Canada and Europe, who trust our advice and seek out our recommendations to plan a successful holiday with their kids.
In most cases, people find us because of our specific expertise about Italy with kids and then come back to us for trips to other destinations, as they know and trust our travel style and recommendations. We have a very personal, very strong connection to out readers: we are a very personal, very hands on travel blog.
We also have a targeted ‘Italy with kids’ Facebook group that is a highly engaged audience of families interested in traveling to Italy.
Our readers are parents of young children, especially mums age 25 to 44 but also grandmothers treating their kids to international travel, looking for reliable advice about the best destinations, accommodation options and travel products for their family.
As our own kids grow, we are noticing an increasing number of parents of older kids and teenagers among our readers: we are very excited about this development and out content is now growing to include also this older demographic of parents and kids.
Since a mom sometimes also travels without the kids, I also include on this site trips I have taken with my husband or girlfriends. These are curated with the same level of detail and passion as the family trips and I often have mamas coming to me for ideas and to replicate my ‘mama’s itineraries’.
While you don’t need to be a mama to find our travel guides useful, my main audience identifies has female and tends to be made of parents.
How can we work together:
I enjoy working with brands who share LE’s values and image. All our articles are written with a strong focus on both user experience so that we can build valuable, evergreen content and converting leads.
If you think we are a good fit for your brand, I would love to hear from you.
Tourist boards, hotels and tour providers If you represent a hotel, destination, attraction or you offer a service in a location that happens to be on our route or we can easily reach, we would be happy to experience your services and help you gain additional online exposure with a feature on our blog and social media channels. Travel plans for 2025 include Amsterdam, Rome, Ischia, Piedmont, Budapest and Sardinia (so far). Please do get in touch with your idea and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
Sponsored Posts: We do not accept sponsored posts and will not answer to email enquiring about them Thank you for your understanding.
We are particularly fond of brands who encourage a healthy, sustainable, active lifestyle and tours and accommodation that help get to truly experience a country and culture: family friendliness and quality are a must.
Freelance writing: I are happy to accept freelance writing assignments from established magazines and family travel websites. however, due to the current volume of work, availability to fulfil such assignments is very limited and I may not be able to responding to all offers. Thank you for your understanding.
I am looking forward to hearing from you!
