Before you start: quick tips!
Edible Christmas wraths are easy to make but not quite as easy as social media tutorials suggest!
There are three main downfalls most of us have encountered at our first wreathe attempt, but they are easily solved once you know about them. So here we go!
You will need A LOT of food for a wreath like those you see online.
Do not commit to a large serving plate of your will simply run out of food before your wreath assumed the shape of a circle so: start small!
The second thing is: puff pastry puffs up and loses its shape as it cooks so if you are using it, make sure you poke each piece with a fork before cooking so prevent uneven shapes. I like to cut it into star shapes for a low-effort, high impact effect.
Last but lot least: it will not look quite like in the photos! A wreath is nothing more than food organised in a circular fashion over a plate so the result can be rather underwhelming unless it is placed on a table with some Christmas decor or you add some elements such as a bow or similar. Do not worry if at first glance you feel you failed: on the table, in the correct context, even a very simple wreath will look the part!
