Flying with kids can be daunting. The first flight with baby is a terrifying thought for many new parents and things don’t get much better when you are faced with a long haul flight and a toddler, or two!

I know the feeling well: being international family with grandparents hours away by plane, we got on our first flight as a family when my son was 6 weeks old and since then, we have flown in pretty much all variations you can imagine: me alone with a baby, the 4 of us with a baby and a toddler, me alone with a toddler, me alone with two toddlers…. and I tell you: it was actually ok!

Flying with a baby or a child or more than one, is not necessarily hard. Unless you are facing a specific, possibly unexpected problem (sickness, etc) usually being prepared and knowing what to expect if hald the battle.

In the articles in this page, you will find the tips we found most useful for flying with children and thoughts on the airlines we use more often. Safe flying!
